I had thrown some seeds from a spaghetti squash in a large pot and it grew fast and large, and then the dogs decided to dig it up for whatever reason. I love spaghetti squash.

Your papayas and cabbage look great! Here in California we can't put gray water onto the surface, but we can use it below the soil surface. Not sure what all the rules are, though. I wanted to post or send pix of the passionfruit, limes, etc. from my yard, but I'm not a gold member and can't seem to post a pic anywhere but to my own album. Still have a few straggling passionfruits on the vine. The ume trees are starting to bloom, well before I've had a chance to prune them. This weekend I want to get out in the garden and prune like crazy, then do some dormant spraying (copper, dormant oil) to head off peach leaf curl and those dang moth larvae that get into the peaches and apples. I think at least a third of the young papaya plants (mostly named varieties) are very unhappy and heading for a miserable end as compost fodder in the aftermath of several days of frost between Christmas and last week. Same with much of the young, yellow-fruited dragonfruit plant I recently got, as it has rotting frost damage in a few places. On the upside, the citrus are fine and a handful of last year's in-ground tomato plants survived. The bees are starting to find more food, which is good, as I like having them around, especially when the stone fruits burst into ecstatic bloom in spring. Nothing like an orgy of bloom and outdoor life to make me, and the bees, very happy!

Awesome! It’s so fun to see what you grow. Funny women are incredibly sexy!

You murdered baby papaya plants?!? Oh my stars. Maybe just relocate them next time?

Wow. This is so cool getting to watch it all come up! Have a great day! 💋 Staci
